Continued research of ‘Bark-cloth in Uganda – Natural Sourced Textile: History, Background, Production and Technique’, as an intensive collaborative workshops and activities between the textile Department at Shenkar College and the Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Art. The workshops includes theoretical lectures, demonstrations, online field visits and hands-on workshop for students from the textile department in Shenkar and from CEDAT Makerere. The unique collaboration is led by Dr Venny Nakazibwe, deputy-principal at CEDAT, alongside a large team from Makerere, textile and fashion designer Doreen Namatovu from Kampala and a team from Shenkar led by Shira Shoval.
