You are invited to a creative sewing threads workshop and artist encounter with a Feminist Activist Fashion Designer from Uganda. Kakyo Trinah operates under the brand kakyoproject mainly in Kampala and Nairobi. Her brand is about art, creativity and safe spaces for minorities and women in the African urban environment, through accessories, fashion and creative spaces. Kakyoproject creatively uses gender-fluid bespoke apparel and statement jewelry, bags to advocate for social change.
The workshop will take place on Friday, December 21 at 11:00 at the Africa Studies Gallery, Alrov Tower, 22nd Floor, 3 Shadal Street, Tel Aviv.
This is also an opportunity for a guided visit to the Palimpsest exhibition currently on display in the gallery.
